Dress Code It could be said that University High School has one of the more liberal dress codes in the Valley, but we do have a dress code. The overriding principle of the dress code is that a student's appearance should not distract from the delivery or receipt of instruction.
Some specifics to abide by are the following:
No drug or alcohol related messages on clothing
Clothing should be neat and clean with no rips or tears
no bare midriffs
shorts and skirts should be modest enough as to not create double takes from either gender.
Undergarments should not be visible, camisole or bra straps being accepted within reason
bare feet are not allowed, and appropriate shoes are required for P.E.

Teachers will review these rules with students and these rules apply for Halloween costumes as well
